Who Is in Charge?

The Wyoming County Commission is the library’s parent organization. They appoint members to the library’s board of trustees, who set library policy. The director oversees all four branches, and reports to the board. The branch managers handle to the day to day operations at their branches.

The Library Commission

The West Virginia Library Commission provides funding and support to the Wyoming County Public Library. In order to receive funding from the library commission, a library must following the library commission’s administrative regulations. These rules are currently undergoing a revision. Please read the draft, and contact your legislators if you have concerns.

Board Meetings

The board's regular meetings are at 5:00 at the Pineville Public Library, on the second Wednesday of the month. The meetings are open to the public. Please call (304)732-6899, to confirm the time and place of the meeting.
